Reference is drawn to directions issued vide F. No. Stds/SP-15/T (T(IMST) dated 23rd September, 2020 vide which the blending of Mustard oil with any other edible oil in India has been prohibited with effect from Olst October, 2020.
All such licensees who have the license for production of Blended Edible Vegetable Oil with Mustard Oil may have stocks of mustard oil/mustard seeds or any other edible oil hitherto used for blending which they need to sell as unblended oils. They may apply for the modification of their FSSAI licenses which will need to be processed and approved by the concerned Designated Officers expeditiously.
Accordingly, it has been decided that all licensing authorities be directed that such modification applications should be processed and granted approval within time period of 03 (three) days from the date of submission of the applications.
