Grapenet traceability solution has been developed and implemented by Logicsoft for its customer Agriculture & processed Food Products Export Development Authority, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India (APEDA) for establishing traceability for fresh grapes exported from India to European Union from consignment to the farm.
Grapenet, a first of its kind in India, covers all stakeholders in the grapes export supply chain including Farmers, exporters, State Government Horticulture/Agriculture departments, Accredited Laboratories, Agmark, Pack houses, Phyto-sanitary Certification Departments, National Referral Laboratory (NRL), APEDA, etc., through a centralized web-based monitoring software. During the season 2007, 2008 and 2009, every consignment that went from India to European Union was monitored through this system.
It has won the National E-governance Award (GOLD) in 2007-08.
It has also won the eASIA award for the year 2009 for its pioneering achivements in bridging the digital divide, in an important area of international trade. The eASIA Awards are administrated by Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT), set up under the aegis of United Nations (UN). The results were announced on 5 November, at the eASIA Night in New Delhi as a part of this year’s Twenty seventh AFACT Meetings and EDICOM 2009.
