URGENT RECALL: Popular almond milk pulled from supermarket shelves

ALDI has issued a major recall on a popular brand of almond milk sold at supermarkets throughout Australia.

UHT Almond Milk Original 1L, with a best before date of 18/04/2021, has been pulled from sale due to potential microbial contamination.

“Food products with microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed,” the recall notice reads.

Customers are being urged not to drink the milk and are being told to return it to any ALDI store for a refund of the purchase price.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” the company said.

“ALDI Stores takes product quality and safety seriously and we apologise for any inconvenience.”

The affected cartons have been available for sale at all ALDI stores.
